Members of the Mountains Group of the Sierra Club will gather for their next meeting at 7 p.m. on Monday, March 11. Monthly meetings are held at St. Richard’s Episcopal Church at 28708 Hwy. 18 in Skyforest.
Monday’s meeting will deal with plans for programs as well as the group’s priorities for the coming year. Members and non-members are urged to attend so the group, as a whole, can get ideas from one another and serve the members, the community and the environment. Everyone is welcome.
Please note that bad weather may end up cancelling a meeting. For information log onto: http://www.sangorgoronio.sierraclub.org/mountains/weatherpolicy.htlm. If you log onto the Sierra Club’s San Gorgonio website you can get a complete list of all the upcoming hikes and events and it is quite extensive. I haven’t gone hiking since I was a girl scout about five decades ago but the Sierra Club has wonderful sounding events and many of the hikes are right here in the local mountains. Go online and look up the San Gorgonio chapter…..you’ll be quite astounded and the next time someone tells you to go take a hike…………….you might just do that with the Sierra Club.
