During their April 4, 2013 hearing members of the San Bernardino County Planning Commission will consider a proposal that would impact all the county’s five supervisorial districts. The issue? Whether or not the commissioners want to recommend the Board of Supervisors adopt a Development Code Amendment that would establish “new definitions, land use categories and development standards to accommodate Licensed and Unlicensed Residential and Care Facilities, including Sober Living and Alcohol and Drug Treatment Facilities. The amendment would also modify existing residential, commercial, industrial and agricultural resource land use categories and their related definitions. If the amendment is ultimately approved by the board of supervisors it will modify the County’s existing “Reasonable Accommodation Ordinance.”.
Planning Commission hearings are held in the county building at 385 North Arrowhead Avenue (next to the old courthouse) in San Bernardino. The hearing is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. The meeting will be held in the board of supervisors’ chambers located on the first floor.
Parking is often a problem so be sure to get there early so you can find a place to park. The majority of the parking spaces are for the use of county employees so give yourself some extra time.
