State Senator Mike Morrell to hold Office Hours in Lake Arrowhead

ballot-box-2 District staff from the office of State Senator Mike Morrell, R-Rancho Cucamonga, will soon hold office hours in Lake Arrowhead the first Tuesday of each month.

Constituents are encouraged to stop by to discuss statewide, or community issues as well as to find help with problems they may be having with state agencies.

The first of the “mobile office hours” will be Tuesday, August 5 from 1 to 3:30 p.m. at the Lake Arrowhead Communities Chamber of Commerce office at 28200 Hwy. 189 Suite E 100 in Lake Arrowhead. The office is located in Lake Arrowhead Village.

This is a unique opportunity for residents to meet with staff members who can help solve problems that involve state or community issues.

Before I moved back to the mountains last year I was living in East Highland. When Senator Morrell was campaigning imagine my surprise when he knocked on my door. We talked for a few minutes but I couldn’t believe that in this day and age that a political candidate would “walk the campaign trail” door-to-door like politicians used to do. Today they use the Internet for many issues but talking face to face with a candidate who is standing just on the other side of your door….. well, that spoke volumes to me and we had the chance to talk for awhile. I couldn’t wait to vote for him! Having his staff in the mountain  area should prove to be very helpful.

The senator’s district includes the City of big Bear Lake, the unincorporated areas of Big Bear Lake, portions of Riverside and San Bernardino counties, Cedar Glen, Crestline and many other areas in the mountains and many, many areas off-the-mountain.
