Historical Society Sponsoring Pioneer BBQ and Hoedown in Skyforest

The Henck Family settled Skyforest so many decades ago. Come learn more about them and the drive to save their property.
Eeeeee-Haaaaw! There’s still time to pay ‘yer money and go to the Pioneer BBQ Hoedown on Sunday, August 17 at the Henck Homestead in Skyforest which is within “spittin’ range” from Lake Arrowhead in the San Bernardino Mountains. Sponsored by the Rim of the World Historical Society this fun “Hoedown” will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. and it promises to be a great evening.
Reservations are mandatory and anyone who wants to get into the event will be turned away if they don’t have a reservation. Don’t let that happen to you. While the sheriff won’t come and get you, you will be disappointed to miss this fun event. The charge is $39 per person but if ‘ye want beer and wine or beer or wine it’ll cost ‘ye ‘cuz it’s not included in the dinner price.

The Henck family was one of the first families to live, fulltime in the local area and this event will help preserve their “homestead.”
Come on out and have fun and know that you are helping preserve this great piece of land and the history that is so vital to our local mountain areas. You’ll also learn about this historic family that had so much to do with “Our mountains.”
