The parishoners of St. Richard’s Episcopal Church are holding a “hoedown” and you are invited! On Saturday, September 27 from 4 to 7 p.m. This fundraiser will be the place to be for some fun, great music by the mountain’s own, fabulous (and famous) bluegrass group appropriately named “Grits and GradY’. These incredibly talented musicians hail from Green Valley Lake (right in our own mountains) and each time they make an appearance (locally or out of town) they receive nothing but raves. It’s great music…………you’ll love it and your feet will love it too because you won’t be able to stop tapping them!
In addition to great bluegrass music the day will feature award-winning wine from the Woodworth Vineyards of Temecula, California. A representative will be on hand to help attendees taste the wines and the wines will be available for purchase as well so come and taste away.
Food? You want food? Well, aren’t you lucky because delicious pulled pork and chicken sandwiches (or vegetarian) will be available. There will be something for everyone!
Bring the children to enjoy free crafts and carnival games and adults can enjoy a game of Bingo!
Silent and live auctions will be part of the fun so come on out for this late afternoon-early evening event. You’ll love the music, you’ll love the BBQ and who knows, you might win at Bingo which would prompt you to love that too!
What’s a chili cookoff without chili? Well, it’s not a chili cookoff but never fear, they’ll be one at the fundraiser. Come and enjoy sampling the six different recipes and then cast your vote for the one you love the most.
What children don’t love playing games? None that I know of so bring the children because there will be a lot of games to keep little ones happy.
For information on this upcoming fun event call (909) 337-3889. The church is located on Hwy. 18 in Skyforest so it’s hard to miss!
Come and enjoy the fun. It’s guaranteed to be a great day!
