People really are wonderful. Not everyone but most people. Today’s successful car wash in Running Springs was one of those events where friends turn out to help other friends or a friend whose life has been turned upside down.
Thank you to Neo at Neo’s Pizza Parlour for allowing the quickly-organized fundraising car wash behind his building on Hilltop Blvd.
When I drove down the driveway by Neo’s Pizza Parlor I didn’t know who the car wash was for and it didn’t matter. Whoever was the recipient of the funds needed them and they were one of “our” local residents. What I did know is that people in the mountains (and most of the people around the world) jump through hoops to help good friends who need it, whether you know them or not.
So, to all you ladies and men who helped make this fundraiser for your friend, Therese McCracker and her family so successful on such short notice, GREAT GOING LADIES AND GUYS!
I have no idea how successful the car wash was but cars were beginning to line up and let me tell you, her friends (and probably family members as well) should sleep well tonight. Friends should also be happy in knowing they helped when asked or their volunteered, and people that do that to help others deserve a great place in Heaven or wherever they will end up, depending on their personal beliefs.
Friends are some of the most important people in our lives, from the time we’re in Kindergarten until the day we die and when friends are suddenly diagnosed with an illness friends are there to help.
Those of you who planned this car wash did a great job and my car hasn’t been that clean in a long time!
