GVL Women Spend Labor Day Weekend Working Breast Cancer Awareness Booth

Aren't they wonderful? Ladies, you had so much fun and I've never seen so much "pink" in my life in one place. You are all special women and the Susan G. Komen Foundation will be so grateful.
Aren’t they wonderful? Ladies, you had so much fun and I’ve never seen so much “pink” in my life in one place. You are all special women and the Susan G. Komen Foundation will be so grateful. You did a great job and had a lot of fun along the way!

Pink was the color of the day (or days) over Labor Day weekend when these terrific women held a fundraiser outside the Green Valley Lake Post Office to raise money for the Susan G. Komen Foundation fight against breast cancer.

The past holiday weekend was the opportunity for some “end of the year” fun in Green Valley Lake and let me tell you they were having FUN! .  Everything at their table was pink including food and the clothes on their back (literally!)  Ladies, what special women you are!

Many people look on the color pink as a “happy” color (and I have to admit, I’m one of them!”  Their booth was pink, pink, pink and all the items (except the bottled water) were pink but the thing that struck me the most was their happy personalities and outlook. Yep, pink was definitely their color.

Thanks for all you did! I hope you know that your event, small thought it may be, was a huge endeavor to support women everywhere to help bring awareness of getting mammograms and supporting one another. I don’t know how much they made but whatever it was would be money that the foundation didn’t have before so these women, as far as I’m concerned, have a special place in heaven.

Yep, you get the “Joan Moseley Fabulous Service Award.” You are special ladies!
