Those of you who love the races at Rim Nordic will hate to see the end of the summer season but it’s happening. The last of the summer races, the Autumn Cup Weekend, will be held this weekend. On Sunday, September 14 the Autumn Cup Classic will be held at the site and it will include Pro, Expert, Sport or Beginner races and participants can register online or the day of the race. The entry fee is $35 for pre-registered riders or $40 the day of the race. Tickets for a 50/50 drawing will benefit the “Mark J. Reynolds Kid’s Bike Fund” and the drawing winner need not be present.

Rim Nordic has become a destination for mountain bike racing and it is conveniently located directly across from Snow Valley Ski Resort on Hwy. 18, about four miles east of Running Springs. If you love bike racing come up to the Running Springs area and enjoy the fall weather and some end-of-the-year racing. After all, it will be another year until the new races come around so let this be “the last hurrah” for this year. You’ll be sorry if you miss it because it will be a long time until next year.

It’s beautiful in the mountains as the leaves are changing color, the hot summer weather is cooling down, rain has fallen and it will soon be October. Come up to Rim Nordic to get that last bike race in before the end of the bike race calendar. You’ll have to wait for another year before it rolls around again so put that bike in the car or on that bike rack and drive up Hwy. 330 to Running Springs and then on Hwy. 18 up to Rim Nordic.
