Wow! U.S. News and World Report has again listed Cal State San Bernardino among the top colleges and universities in the western United States. The college is tied for twenty-second among the top regional public universities in the west and it is tied for 66th among all western universities for regional public institutions that provide a full range of undergraduate and master’s degree programs.
Cal State San Bernardino was also ranked twenty-first among best colleges in the west for veterans. In addition, the university was also listed among the best colleges for its undergraduate business programs and graduate level programs in fine arts, public affairs, rehabilitation counseling, social work and part-time M.B.A. programs.
The 2015 guidebook listed 620 universities as regional universities, and of that group, 262 are public, 346 are private and 12 are for-profit schools. The regional universities and regional colleges are placed into one of four geographic categories: North, South, Midwest and West. The West region includes institutions from 15 states: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Washington and Wyoming. In addition to this latest honor Cal State San Bernardino was recently selected by The Princeton Review as one of its “Best in the West” colleges and universities and it has also made the Forbes list of “America’s Best Colleges.”
