Need or want to make some extra money for the upcoming holidays? Want to participate in what would probably be an interesting adventure? Well, consider being a poll worker in San Bernardino County elections. To qualify all applicants must be U.S. citizens and be a registered voter in California. Additionally, a two-hour mandatory training class is required and for more specialized positions additional training is required.
The county pays well for these poll worker positions. Clerks make $115; machine clerks earn $130, supervisors earn $180 plus their mileage and bilingual poll workers earn an additional $10. Testing for all poll worker positions is required.
To apply complete a 2014 poll worker application and return it to the San Bernardino County elections Office at 777 E. Rialto Avenue in San Bernardino, 92415. Applications can also be faxed to (909) 387-2022 or e-mailed to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
More information is available at county libraries. I found this information at the Running Springs Library. The county encourages everyone interested to contact them as soon as possible.
