The always-exciting Christmas tree lighting in Green Valley Lake is set for 5:30 p.m. on November 29 at the tree next to the Green Valley Lake Clubhouse on Green Valley Lake Road. This tree has been the site (and the sight) for the annual celebration for decades and it is always such a fun event as the ceremony always draws a lot of families. The children are so excited they can hardly stand still and it’s such a beautiful celebration of the holiday season.
In addition to the tree lighting residents and visitors pour into the clubhouse to enjoy the fun inside which always includes Santa, the chance to purchase some great gifts, singing some carols, enjoying music from Grits and Friends and enjoying food and drink. If you have children, don’t forget to take the camera.Don’t forget to bundle up because it’s chilly in Green Valley Lake this time of year, especially at night.
Santa has so many places he has to visit in the next few weeks that it is a privilege to have him in Green Valley Lake each year. He must have a great time because he keeps coming back!
