Crack open that piggy bank, look under the couch cushions for spare change or go to your favorite bank and take out a few bucks and go to the Holiday Boutique on Dec. 13. The fun will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Robert Hootman Senior Community Center. The center is located off Hwy. 18 on Running Springs School Road and is “up the road” from the school.
Fourteen creative local artists and artisans will take part. Some of the items that will be for sale are jewelry, a variety of handmade crafts and wood carvings and other woodworking items. I’m sure there will be a lot more so come on over and enjoy the fun.
Those of us who aren’t very “crafty” always enjoy getting items that others make and who are so plan to go to this fun event and see what’s being offered. If you wanted to be a naughty boy or girl you could purchase some handmade gifts and wrap them up and tell the recipients you made them yourself. Santa wouldn’t be very happy with you so maybe that’s not such a good idea. After all, next year he just might decide to leave you a big piece of coal instead of a present.
Have fun! See you there!
