Rim Recreation District Seeking New Board of Directors Member

Rim P&R logoMountain residents find many different ways to serve their community and throughout the decades people have stepped up to volunteer in a million different ways.

If you are interested in serving as a board member of the Rim of the World Recreation and Park District, there is a vacancy on the board as of December 1. A replacement board member must be appointed to fill the vacancy before January 30, 2015.

As part of the requirements for a board position all candidates must be a qualified voter within the recreation district boundaries or be a qualified voter in the State of California AND they must be an owner of real property within the recreation district boundaries.

A candidate’s Statement of Qualification must include personal background information and reasons for seeking the vacant position. All statements must be filed in at the Rim of the World Recreation and Park District office located at 26577 State Highway 18 in Rimforest. The statements must be submitted to the district office by 4:30 p.m. on January 16, 2015. Interviews will be conducted on January 26, 2015 during the regular meeting of the board of directors at 6 p.m. in the District Office.

The appointment will be made by the Board of Directors at their regular meeting on January 26, 2015.
