Hearts and Lives, headquartered in Crestline, is delighted to announced that T.J. Maxx is continuing to collaborate with the agency. The retailer has been very supportive of the mountain communities and those that seek and are given help (of many varieties) by the local mountain agency. “The retailer has been very supportive of our mountain communities,” said David Stuart, Hearts and Lives executive director.

The company’s district manager, Eduardo Villapando, has provided financial support and he has given discounts for this year’s coat and toy drives in the mountain communities. These programs, sponsored by Hearts and Lives, continue to be an enormous help to mountain residents in need of warm winter clothing as well as toys for children at Christmas. Since it was formed after the Old Fire, Hearts and Lives has helped change people’s lives with programs to help those in need. The agency helps many mountain residents in an enormous number of different ways. One of the several program they provide is the WIC program that stands for Women, Infants and Children. This federally-funded program helps women and their children with nutrition and health programs. Hearts and Lives has a variety of programs available to families so if you need help, give them a call or go by the agency that is across from Goodwin’s Market.
