It’s good news to hear that staff from State Senator Mike Morrell’s office will be holding office hours in the mountains. Since the senator’s district also includes Yucaipa, Phelan, Menifee, Hemet, Beaumont and Banning as well as some of the mountain communities his staff will be very busy. Staff members from his office will be available for mountain residents to discuss their issues each month it will give residents the opportunity to talk directly with his staff members.
The Lake Arrowhead events will be held on the first Tuesday of each month from 1:30 to 3 p.m. at the Lake Arrowhead Chamber of Commerce office that is located on the lower level of the village, near McDonald’s.
Big Bear Lake area residents will be able to visit with the senator’s staff on the third Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Big Bear Chamber of Commerce of commerce office.
The senator held a “meet and greet” several months ago at Hot Shots in Blue Jay and it gave him the opportunity to meet residents and discuss some state issues as well as helping people who attended if they had questions or needed his help on an issue. He was happy to be there and those of us who attended this event were happy to have him there. That “meet and greet” was a great way to talk directly with him so this is going to be a great outreach for local residents and for the senator and his staff.
