Thumbs up to you, Larry Horton!
Thumbs up to you, Larry Horton!

Does the thought of speaking in public turn your brain and nerves to mush? Does just the thought of giving a speech send you running the other direction….and it doesn’t even matter which direction? Well, I’ve got good news if this is your situation because a new organizations affiliated with Toastmasters is beginning right here in our local mountain communities.

Meetings will be held at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church which is located at 27415 School Road in Lake Arrowhead (sort of behind Rim High School). The dues paid through March 31 will be $64.35 and after that, beginning April 1, the 2015 dues will be $36 every six months with the possibility of any optional club dues.

Learning to speak well in public is something that is often life changing because it doesn’t just give a person skills it gives them confidence.

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to be a charter member of this new Mountain Counseling and Training Toastmasters Club. When they have 20 member or more sign up the charter process can be completed. After that occurs new members can only join as a regular member rather than at the reduced rate for charter members.

For further information contact Michael Beavers at Michael@MountainCounseling.org or call (909) 336-3330. You can also send an e-mail to: Michael@MountainCounseling.org. An alternate email can be sent to Charlie@CharlieFarrell.net or call (909) 337-5400.

If you are at all interested in learning more about public speaking or improving your oratory skills call or e-mail one of the above people because you never know, this organization may be just what you’re looking for so check it out.

Speaking skills are frequently something that future employers look for when they hire a new employee and people who speak well are often promoted over those who struggle. This organization is a unique opportunity in the mountains to hone your skills. It can’t hurt!

    Hi Joan,
I tried to send you an e-mail about Rim Ed Foundation’s upcoming fundraising events. However, the e-mail was undeliverable. May I please have your e-mail address again so that I can keep you in the communication loop of Rim Ed Foundation?
    Thanks,
    Mary Jo
