Every few years (or decades) the subject of whether our local mountain communities should, or could. incorporate into one large community comes up. Well, the topic has come up again so a meeting will be held and the Lake Arrowhead Communities Republican Women, Federated will host the free event on March 26 at the Thousand Pines Christian Conference Center in Crestline. This event will begin with a social hour at 9:30 a.m. followed by a general meeting at 10 a.m. and the luncheon at 11:15 a.m. The speakers will begin at noon.
This non-partisan event will feature speakers, including former county supervisor candidate Randolph Beasley and former 33rd Assembly district candidate Michelle Ambrozic (both mountain residents). The subject of incorporation is always controversial so if you want to hear ideas son how a consolidation would or could affect taxes, the school system, the Mountains Community Hospital district and other relative topics you might want to attend.
The charge for the luncheon is $20 but if you want to only attend the forum you need to make a reservation. Call (909) 528-7404 if you plan to attend the forum so you can be sure of having a seat.
The camp is located at 359 Thousand Pines Drive. If you’re planning on attending only the forum please be prompt.
