Well, the 6th Annual Fashion with Jazz is right around the corner. This fabulous event, scheduled for April 19, is a big fundraiser for the wonderful local group of dedicated teachers and others who make up the Rim Education Foundation.
Fashions for women, men and boys will be modeled at this, the sixth annual “Fashion with Jazz” fundraiser that is held each year at the beautiful Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa. This fun event is elegant, enjoyable and entertaining all at the same time. This incredible fashion show and luncheon supports the local organization, that in turn, helps and supports our local Rim schools and their staff members. Remarkably, since 1985 the Rim Ed Foundation has donated more than $400,000 (yes, you read that correctly) in grants to benefit the teachers in the Rim of the World Unified School District. Some of the programs this active organization has helped support include the AVID programs at Rim High and Mary Putnam Henck Intermediate School and throughout the years the foundation has donated more than $50,000 to this great program.
The ddoors will oopen at 1 p.m. for check-in and a preview of fashions and it will allow time to shop at the selected vendors. There will also be time to peruse the silent auction and raffle items and guests will have time to visit w2ith friends sand acquaintances while enjoy a glass of wine or champagne and delicious appetizers.
The fashion show will begin at 2 p.m. with a dinner buffet that is available after 3 p.m.
This year’s fashions will be supplied by: All That Glitters Boutique, How She Wore it Boutique, Vanity Haus, Bass, Wilson’s Leather, Tattle Tales by Sondra and the Mountain Thrift Shop. One of the really great parts of this fashion show is that the models are local community members as well as teachers, staff and students from the Rim of the World Unified School District (of course!).
Vendors who will be on hand will tempt you to purchase floral arrangements, handmade cards, cosmetics, unique jewelry designs and the featured boutiques. All the vendors have personal connections with the mountain communities.
Tickets for “Fashion with Jazz” may be purchased at the lake Arrowhead Chamber of Commerce office in Lake Arrowhead Village, the Lake House in Cedar Glen and Coldwell Banker Sky Ridge Realty in Blue Jay. Tickets may also be purchased online through PayPa on the Rim Education Foundation’s website at: http://www.rimedfoundation.org.
The cost to attend this fun fundraiser is $48 for adults and $16 for children from four-years-old to 12-years-old.
