Last year members of the Arrowbear Lions Club took part in the summer chamber events such as the popular Farmer’s Market. Hope they’ll be around again this year! Come find out what great guys are who are part of this local organization. You may not to join them and I know they wouldn’t turn you down!

On May 2 the colorful food and craft booths will be up at the annual Running Springs Farmer’s Market. Held every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. through September 26 the market has been a “boon” to local artists and artisans and this will be the third year this event has been held. The Running Springs Area Chamber of Commerce wants to thank the members of the Running Springs Water District Board of Directors for their continued support of this great community endeavor. The property belongs to the Running Springs Water District  so without their permission this fun event could not be held on their property that is directly next to First Mountain Bank.

Some of the items patrons can expect to see at the market this year  will be “no pesticide”fruits and vegetables, delicious  jams, jellies, Olive oil, honey, food, all types of art, beauty products, great gift giving ideas and items, clothing, jewelry and so much more. It’s been a huge success so be sure to check out the fun by each Sunday from May 2 through Sept. 26. Come on over between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. but please be polite and don’t park in the First Mountain Bank parking lot. They only have a few spaces for their customers and if the Farmer’s Market vendors and visitors take all of them it’s not good.

Special events will be held at the site so be sure to get to the Farmer’s Market on May 9  for special Mother’s Day gifts. The following Saturday, May 16 will feature the Home Expo and the market. Come and see how many local licensed vendors participate and are part of our local communities. May 23 is the Antiques and Collectibles Market in addition to the farmer’s market so come on over. May 30 will feature the market and special Snow Valley Ski Ticket promotion that last year was an enormous success. August 8 will be Mountain Top Days which is always great fun. Come enjoy the booths, games and fun for the whole family.
