……And All That JAZZZZZZZZZ! Big Fundraiser May 3

saxophone01The members of the Blue Jay Jazz Foundation will host the mountain’s loveliest of all singers, Gloria Loring and additional special guests when a fundraiser is held at the Tudor House on Sunday, May 3 at 5:30 p.m.

Show tickets for this special fundraiser are $35 and if you want a delicious buffet dinner at 7 p.m. there is an additional $20 charge. When you’re at The Tudor House and you have the chance to eat their food, for heaven’s sake, don’t even think about not imbibing because the food and selection is fab-u-lus. This fun production is appropriately entitled “With a Little Help From My Friends” because we all need them and I’m sure Gloria’s “friends” are multi-talented as well.

Come, purchase tickets and enjoy this fabulous evening that raises funds for this incredible, giving local foundation that helps mountain students interested in playing jazz. One of their most important aims is to  help students and their families who can’t afford to have lessons, rent a jazz instrument and participate in the magic of jazz music. This active organization often bestows grants for these students so they can enjoy playing and in doing so, will become inspired to get better and better. The joy of music is a shared experience and the more active young children and teenagers are with music the better they grades will be and it will enhance their life forever.

This event is not just a fundraiser for the Blue Jay Jay  Foundation but it is the chance to enjoy a night out with great music at the historic site. Come and enjoy some cool jazz and leave there with the knowledge that you have helped our local students attain their goal of learning to play a jazz instrument which is something that whether they know it or not, will enhance the rest of their lives.

The members of the Blue Jay Foundation are so actively involved in bringing jazz music to “our” mountains and one of their main purposes is to help local students get the chance to play a jazz instrument or jazz instruments.
