Rim Recreation and Park District Hosting Great Fun Programs for Summer!

This, too, can be you at the Aug. 2 Latin/Salsa jazz band concert in Blue Jay.

Did you know that the Rim of the World Recreation and Park District is hosting a Summer Day Camp?  Well, if you’re reading this now you know about this fun program for children who are guaranteed to love every single second.

The program is jam-packed with fun adventures for the children who participate. There will be field trips and great fun activities to keep any child from being bored after the first couple of weeks of summer vacation.

swimmer silhouetteThe Summer Day Camp will operate Monday through Friday and it begins June 22 and it will end the last week day before the new school session begins.

gymnist-girlThe drop-in rate is $25 per day or a weekly rate of $110 per child. The camp will be available from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and it will be located at the Charles Hoffman, Lake Arrowhead and possibly VOE childcare facilities. Do be aware that these locations may change so call the recreation office at (909) 337-PARK and make sure  you have the most updated information. You also need to be sure to register your child or children by calling the district office at (909) 337-7275.

Some of the programs will include Mommy and Me Paper Crafting (parent and Me program), Little Tikes Creative Movement workshop, Youth Swimming Lessons, Into to Tap and Ballet Summer Workshop, Beginning Hula, Lyrical Hip-Hop Mix (dance), Tap, Summer Dance Camp, Intro to Acting Summer Workshop, Expressive Dance and Drama Dynamics, Summer Gymnastics, Yoga for Adults, Summer Tennis Program, Japanese Karate-Do, Mixed Martial Arts and hiking.

Registration is open so parents or prospective participants can register online or they can go to the recreation district office. All these classes promise a great summer for children and adults who want to participate in these fun programs.
