It’s time to dust off your running shoes and plan to participate in the upcoming August 8 “Run Through the Pines.” This great annual event, hosted by the Rim of the World Recreation and Park District is almost there so dust off those running shoes in the back of your closet and be sure you’re at Lake Gregory, in Crestline, bright and early on August 8. The race begins and ends at the Lake Gregory ballfield which is located at 24645 San Moritz Drive.
The day’s events will include 5 and 10K run/walk and a a 5 K race/walks and a Kids Fun Run. A great day of fun, exercise and great experiences is always part of this fun event, whether people participate or cheer on all those who are hail and hearty and participate. Check-in time for runners is 6 a.m. and the first run will be off and going at 7 a.m.
To register log onto: Racewire.com. The charge for adults is $35 per person or $40 on race day.The Kid’s Fun Run (for children 4-6) is $10. For children six to 10-years-old the registration fee is $15.
Trophies will be awarded to the top category winners so come on out and enjoy the cool, shady areas around Lake Gregory and enjoy participating or watching the fun!
