Just about everyone on the planet like pinecones (unless they happen to drop from their tree branch onto your head). With that i mind if you haven’t attended the annual Pine Cone Festival you should plan to go this year.
This fun event will be held on Saturday, October 10 from 9:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. This year’s location will be at Arrowhead Ridge and like last year the day will be great fun. There is no entry fee and there is free parking at the site and a free shuttle to the actual location of the event.
There will be vendors, pine cone arts and crafts, children’s games, a contest for the biggest pine cone that people take to the site, live music and the “not to be missed” Pine Cone Olympics.
I have attended the past two years and it’s really fun. It is also amazing to see how talented people are at taking what would be an “ordinary” pinecone and turning it into something clever.
