My thoughts and sympathy go to the friends and families of six airmen who died Oct. 2 in the crash of a C-130J Super Hercules aircraft. The crash that killed the airmen took place at Jalalabad Airfield in Afghanistan.
My thoughts to the loved ones of: Captain Jonathan J. Golden, 33 of Camarillo, California; Captain Jordan B. Pierson, 28, of Abilene, Texas.
Staff Sgt. Ryan D.. Hammond, 26, of Moundsville, West Virginia
Senior Airman Quinn L. Johnson-Harris, 21, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
The four men were assigned to the 39th Airlift Squadron, Dyess Air Force Base in Texas.
Also killed in this horrific event were: Senior Airman Nathan C. Sartain, 29, of Pensacola, Florida and Airman 1st Class Kcey E. Ruiz, 21, of McDonough, Georgia. Both these men were assigned to the 66th Security Forces Squadron from Hanscom Air force Base, in Massachusetts.
My heart goes to the families and friends of these Air Force heroes. May Americans everywhere share the grief and sorrow of all of those affected by this terrible military plane crash..
