The Magnificance of Clouds Over the Mountains on Sunday, July 6 On July 8, 2014 By Joan MoseleyIn UncategorizedLeave a comment Huge thunderheads formed over the Running Springs area on Sunday, July 6. Fortunately there was no thunder or lightning but the sight certainly was great for taking photos along Keller Peak Road. Beautiful! I always appreciate these clouds because they enable me to drive and enjoy them and stop to take photos as well. A beautiful sight! The huge cumulus nimbus clouds just got bigger and bigger and they made a drive up Keller Peak Road unusually special! Driving up this windy road is such a treat and in the summer months you can say “hello” to campers or hikers who are walking up or down the steep road that leads to Children’s Forest and on upward to the Keller Peak Lookout Tower. Gorgeous! While beautiful white clouds were the order for the July 4 weekend in areas of the San Bernardino Mountains the evening of July 4 was clear in Lake Arrowhead for the annual fireworks show! It was, to put it mildly, spectacular but it is every year. With all the boats on the lake with their small lights on after dark it often reminds me of a giant horizontal Christmas tree.
