State Route 18 (Hwy. 18) will close at night between the State Route (Hwy.) 138 cutoff and Crest Forest Drive (The Narrows) on Wednesday, October 16 and Thursday, October 17 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. The closure is needed to “clean” the slopes and embankments to prepare for the winter season and for snow storage. The work is being done at night so residents and visitors will not be impacted during daylight work hours.
Caltrans is asking for your patience during this much-needed maintenance operation and they regret that everyone will need to use alternate routes during the closure period.
