Even “Uncle Sam” Wants You to Visit the May 3 Home Expo in Running Springs

Uncle Sam, I want you
The first-ever Running Springs Home Expo will be held May 3 so be sure to mark the date on your calendar. From 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. you’ll be able to find out all about what services are offered right here in Running Springs. Many people may not realize it but a large percentage of people who live in the mountains fulltime are skilled craftsmen and just about any home service you could possibly need is available right in your own backyard.

This first-ever event will be held next to First Mountain Bank on the large vacant parcel of land owned by the Running Springs Water District. (The property is located on Whispering Pines adjacent to the bank and the library.) The expo is being sponsored by the Running Springs Area Chamber of Commerce and it is a great way to focus attention on local mountain businesses and skilled craftsmen.

There’s no entry fee so come on out and get ideas for home improvements or for building a home. They’ll be plenty of vendors who can talk with you and help with any home improvement project or problem you may have.

Remember the slogan that became so famous a few years ago……….”See American First?” Well, come on over to this event and “See Your Local contractor or vendor First” before you hire someone you’ll probably never seen again.

In tough economic times it’s important to remember that our local craftsmen and service vendors need our support or that plumber, that carpenter, that rug cleaner, that window installer, that repair person or the guy who can fix your stove may not be there because they had to move “off the hill.”

See you at the Expo! It should be very interesting! The chamber is expecting a great turnout of vendors as well as interested residents and visitors.
